Quantitative Consultant
Max Bastiaens is a Quantitative Consultant at VB Advisory. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in
Econometrics & Operations Research at Tilburg University and his Master’s
degree in Actuarial Science and Mathematical Finance at the University of Amsterdam. His interest
lies in credit risk, banking and financial markets.
Max developed his passion for complex mathematical problems in the years before he started his
econometrics studies while obtaining two Propaedeutic certificates in Mathematical Engineering and
Healthcare Technology. After years of studying, he is ready to apply his academic knowledge in the
working field.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, doing road trips during the
summer vacation and listening to lots of different music styles. Practicing sports is also what keeps
him physically and mentally fit.
